WHERE IT ALL BEGAN.

I started playing tennis at four. My mother wanted me to take up a sport and she liked tennis. Nobody else in my family played, so I was the first.

For eight years I trained one hour a week. We have a house in Trbovlje and I spend every summer there. The summer I turned twelve, I was choosing between basketball and tennis. We found a coach in Trbovlje and I began training every day.

I won my first tournament without fully knowing the rules. I remember being 2–8 down in a match tie-break, and my parents rescheduling a trip because I had reached the final. My family has been there from the start. Today I represent Tenis klub AS Litija.
