BUILT IN SILENCE.

A full training day, from six in the morning to the last hour on court.

The work happens before anyone sees a result.

My day starts between six and six-thirty. Breakfast, then the courts. Footwork and agility come first, followed by a ten-minute warm-up and two to three hours of tennis.

After an hour for lunch comes an hour of fitness work, then two more hours on court. I attend gymnasium, so studying fits into the same day.

People see the serve. They don’t see the hours behind it.

“Built when no one is watching.”
